Additionally, to help us learn as much as possible about your pet and his or her medical history, please obtain any previous health records that you might have. Or, if you prefer, just notify us and we can obtain the records for you in advance of your visit.

    Dr. Pearson joins our practice as Medical Director. She graduated from Virginia Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2000 and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2004. Since 2004, Dr. Pearson has been a general practitioner with special interests in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.     Dr. Thacker grew up in southeast Michigan just across the border from Toledo, OH. She earned her B.S. in Biology and the Humanities at Valparaiso University. She then attended Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed her DVM. Her special interests are in surgery, dentistry, dermatology, and behavior (especially facilitating low-stress vet visits).     Dr. Riehl is originally from Corvallis, Oregon. She completed her undergraduate degree at Colorado State University but returned home and graduated from Oregon State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She completed an internship at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital in 2012. Dr. Riehl’s veterinary interests include sports medicine and internal medicine.     After graduating from Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, Dr. Twardzik moved to Portland, Oregon, where she practiced for 10 years. In 2013, she returned to Maryland and joined the Paradise team. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, feline medicine, pain management, wellness and senior care. In her time away from the hospital, Dr. Twardzik enjoys writing, reading, gardening, travel, and any number of outdoor activities. She currently shares her home with her cat Winky.
