Meet the Rehab Team

Dr. Jennifer King, DVM, CCRP

Dr. Jennifer King is a graduate of St. George's University. In 2011, she completed her training to become a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner. She joined Paradise Animal Hospital in 2017 to continue to pursue her love of rehabilitation medicine. Currently she is training to become a Working Dog Practitioner and works regularly with Baltimore County K-9 unit. She visited Colorado in 2019 to continue our working relationship with Orthopets. Pain management is another of her interests and treating pain is always the first step with our rehabilitation patients!

Dr. King is married with two young sons, Robert and Isaac. She has a cat name Lovely and a dog named Socks (a shepherd mix).

"It is amazing to see what a difference rehabilitation and physical therapy can make in our animal patients. It is one of the most rewarding parts of my job!"

Angela Parks- RVT

Angela has been working in the veterinary field for over 10 years and received her B.S. in Veterinary Medical Technology degree from Wilson College. Angela is a Registered Veterinary Technician and she spent the last 5 1/2 years working primarily in animal rehabilitation. Her favorite part of working in rehab is watching the progress that her patients make with their mobility and how it improves their quality of life. In her spare time Angela enjoys spending time with her family and her dog and 2 cats.

Jasmine Wilkerson, Rehab Assistant

Jasmine has been working in Veterinary Medicine for a little over ten years and is in her second year with the Rehab team at Paradise. She started her veterinary career volunteering at local shelters and pet sitting and has become quite the assistant. She’s worked in multiple roles with the Paradise Hospital, which helped her most of all with Rehab. Jasmine loves animals and really likes contributing to their quality of their life. "Rehab is the one area of vet med that is strictly beneficial for the animal. I love visibly being able to see an animal feel better and get stronger."
