Laboratory Services at Paradise
Reliable Testing Through State-of-the-Art Technology
In addition to the physical examination, our veterinarians use an array of laboratory tests to better assess pet health and obtain a baseline of what is normal for each patient.
Blood tests are very valuable in the early detection of diseases in pets. Studies have shown that 25% of dogs and cats over the age of 10 have a treatable disease that is not causing symptoms.
Subtle changes in these tests over time may signal the presence of underlying disease. We recommend that dogs have blood testing done at seven years of age and cats at eight years of age. Older pets may have these tests routinely repeated.
